Daily Special - Technique Day - Stippled Background with Acrylic Paint and Pearl Ex

Click Here for the tutorial or click on the title of this post.

Today's Daily Special is Technique Day. Today's technique is "Stippled Background using Acrylic Paint and Pearl Ex". Also check out the sketch challenge for this card below.

This tutorial is similar to the Lumiere and Classic Ink technique that I posted several days ago but the mediums are different. Instead of Lumiere and Classic dye ink, this technique uses Acrylic Paint and Pearl Ex to create a similar effect.

The result of this technique is a background with a very shimmery effect and a raised texture created by the acrylic paint. Acrylic paint is thick and when stippled, unlike dye inks which a flat smooth appearance, it has a raised rough texture.

Click here for the Lumiere and Classic Ink technique. Both techniques have a shimmery effect.

The photo don't represent the technique very well because it's hard to capture the shimmery effect of the background and I also covered it up with my design but trust me, it's really pretty.
