Daily Special - Featured Stamps - Inkadinkado

Today's Daily Special is "Featured Stamps". I'm featuring "Inkadinkado" stamps. Inkadinkado is a fairly large and well known rubber stamping company. Many of their stamps are sold in various crafting stores such as Michaels and JoAnn.

One of the goals for myself when creating the two cards posted is to use the stamps that came with the sets rather than using designer papers. I have a tendency to abuse the simpleness of using designer paper rather than creating my own backgrounds.

Both of the backgrounds of the two cards were stamped. . .with the first card, the stamp itself had a "watercolor" type of design so what I did was mist a white cardstock with water, mist the stamps a little bit to give it a bit of moisture and applied SU Watercolor crayons directly on to the stamp. I then stamped the image on to the wet paper. This gave the images a bit of a whimsical, watercolored appearance.

Card #1 Details:

Stamp: Inkadinkado "Birthday" set and Stampin Up "It's Your Birthday" for the sentiment
Ink: SU Watercolor Crayons in Summer Sun and Pixie Pink
Paper: SU Pixie Pink and More Mustard
Accessories: Ribbon (unknown), DCWV scrapbook paper scrap, SU 1"and 1 1/4" circle punch, JoAnn brad

To create the background for this card, I rubber stamped the images with dye ink on to white cardstock then with a sponge dauber applied red dye ink all over the to give the background a bit of color.

Card #2 details:

Stamp: Inkadinkado "Chic Boxed Set"
Ink: SU Real Red and Basic Black
Cardstock: SU Real Red, Black, and Whisper White
Accessories: SU 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punch, JoAnn brads, American Craft Elements Ribbon
